About Me

My name is Roland van Marten. Growing up on Curacao with the special carribean blue around me, I consider myself a true island boy. When I was 12 I moved to The Netherlands with my parents. Being in The Netherlands was fine but I always wanted to go back. In 2000, I began looking for a career on Curacao. However, I first went to Bonaire for work at a windsurf center. Working there for a few month, turned into a love of Bonaire. The tranquillity, the nature, the people, no high rise buildings, no large resorts, no traffic lights.... and always being so close to the sea is what makes Bonaire the perfect place for me. I loved being in the water windsurfing, surfing, sailing, and swimming. When I started scuba diving it became even better. Bonaire has such a variety of beautiful reefs to explore. I am always look for something unique, from impressive underwater landscapes to the most special encounters.
